Chef Suave graduated from Dubrulle Culinary School in the Spring of 1996. Shortly after graduation he joined newly forming team at Diva at the Met. In the summer of 1998 he took an opportunity to join the Kitchen Brigade at the Wedgewood Hotel in the capacity of Chef de Partie. In the fall of 1999 Suave accepted a Sous-Chef position in newly re-opening Diamond University Centre at SFU and in the following year Suave got promoted to Executive Chef of that facility. In the fall of 2004 he received additional training from the CIA in Napa Valley and earned title of Culinary Masterworks Trainer. In the summer of 2004 Suave departed DUC for Rugby Beach Club.

 

Running own restaurant has been Suave’s long time dream. In the Spring of 2005 he and his wife, Lulu, purchased “Lumberjack Pancake House” on Austin Av., thoroughly renovated and turned it into Pacific Rim Grille.

 

Suave is an active member of BC Chef’s Association since 2003.

 

He resides with his wife and two daughters in Coquitlam.
